We are thrilled to share the successful completion of the Summer School on Smart Solutions for Regenerative Medicine, a two-day educational event organized by the eBio-team under the umbrella of the eBio-Hub project. This event is one of the key communication and outreach activities aimed at fostering knowledge exchange and building capacity in the field of regenerative medicine.
4th International Conference on Bioengineering and Polymer Science took place between 2 and 5 of June 2025, in Brasov, Romania. The scientific event, organized by APMG and officially endorsed by eBio-hub, brought together over 100 attendees from around the world, including participants from the USA, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Mexico, Pakistan, and more. Envisaged in the project proposal, this event represents one of the key channels for disseminating excellence and enhancing the global visibility and impact of the eBio-hub initiative. Several members of the eBio-hub team served on the Organizing Committee and actively contributed to the planning and execution of the scientific program, ensuring strong alignment with the project’s goals.
eBio-hub Hosts First Open Investors Day to Foster Industry Collaboration. As part of its ongoing mission to enhance visibility and strengthen ties with industry, the eBio-hub team successfully organized the first Open Investors Day within the framework of the project. The event, chaired by the eBio-hub Translational Research Manager, served as a platform to showcase current research, encourage dialogue, and build strategic partnerships with stakeholders from both the public and private sectors.
The eBio-hub team recently visited the Laboratoire de Physique des Solides (LPS), a joint research unit of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the University of Paris-Saclay in Orsay, France. During the visit, the team met with Dr. Guillaume Tresset, Laboratory Director and member of the eBio-hub Scientific Advisory Board, as well as his team. This productive exchange strengthened the ongoing collaboration and laid the groundwork for future joint publications and new scientific initiatives.
On March 28, 2025, a course on Innovative Technologies in Medicine was delivered by Iuliana Biru to second-year medical students at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
On 21st of November, Dan Necolau, professor in, and the founding Chair of the Department of Bioengineering at McGill University was invited to give a seminar on “Computation and simulation with biological agents”.
The hands-on workshop ''Cell Culture Basics'' was organized on October 24-25, 2024, focusing on common skills and regulations for cell culture laboratory practices and was attended by 15 participants. The workshop covered all the relevant notions beginning with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), relevant regulations and directives, and sterile lab techniques, to cell culture testing protocols, experiments and biocompatibility assesments. Participants gained hands-on experience in different cell culture procedures and tests, with step-by-step guidance from our specialized and experienced researchers: Dr. Bianca Tihauan and Dr. Gratiela Gradisteanu.
The event was part of the educational program organized by the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology and was attended over 70 students from different schools.
