During the visit, the ERA Chair delivered an invited talk titled “Bioengineering Research in eBio-hub”, highlighting the hub’s innovative approaches in microengineering, organoid development, and translational biomedical applications.
Fruitful discussions were held with Prof. Pavel Neužil and Dr. Imrich Gablech, focusing on future cooperation, joint publications, and potential proposals under the Widening Excellence Hubs framework — with prospective topics including Etattoo, microcalorimetry, and microbiota-on-a-chip technologies.
Further meetings with Prof. Charlotte Hauser centered on collaborative opportunities related to Horizon Europe proposals, particularly in the area of vascularized organoids. The visit also included laboratory tours and technical exchanges on using UPS as bioink for developing “artificial skin” systems, aimed at applications in transdermal testing.
This visit marks another step toward strengthening European research networks and fostering interdisciplinary innovation in bioengineering and regenerative medicine.
