eBio-hub continues to strengthen its international scientific visibility through participation in ESB 2026, one of Europe's leading scientific events dedicated to biomaterials research, innovation, and biomedical applications.

Researchers from the eBio-hub Centre of Excellence in Bioengineering presented their latest scientific developments, highlighting innovative approaches in advanced biomaterials, gene delivery, and regenerative medicine.

Jana Ghitman delivered an oral presentation entitled “Graphene Oxide-Decorated Electrospun Architectures for Macrophage Gene Delivery.” The research explored the potential of graphene oxide-functionalized electrospun fibrous architectures as advanced platforms for macrophage-targeted gene delivery, opening new perspectives for immunomodulation and regenerative medicine.

In addition, Andreea Ioana Dinu presented a scientific poster entitled “Designing by Decisions: Can the Right Combination of Materials Improve Bone Defect Regeneration in Osteoporosis?” The study focused on the development of innovative biomaterial-based strategies to support bone regeneration under osteoporotic conditions, highlighting the importance of material composition and design in engineering advanced scaffolds for bone tissue repair.

Participation in ESB 2026 provided an excellent opportunity to disseminate eBio-hub's research achievements, exchange knowledge with the international biomaterials community, and explore new opportunities for scientific collaboration.

These contributions further reinforce eBio-hub's commitment to advancing research excellence, fostering interdisciplinary innovation, and developing next-generation biomaterials for personalized and regenerative medicine.
