The eBio-hub team was represented at the 9th International Congress on Advanced Materials Sciences and Engineering (AMSE-2026), held in Zagreb, Croatia, from July 22–24, 2026, by Dr. Jana Ghitman, Deputy Project Director of eBio-hub. The international event brought together researchers and industry professionals to exchange recent advances in materials science and engineering, including nanomaterials, smart polymers, advanced functional materials, and their emerging applications.

As an invited Keynote Speaker, Dr. Ghitman delivered the presentation entitled “Electrospun Fibrous Architectures as Effective Local Gene Delivery Carriers.” The keynote highlighted eBio-hub research activities at the interface of advanced biomaterials, nanomedicine, and gene delivery, focusing on the potential of electrospun fibrous architectures as localized platforms for the controlled delivery of genetic therapeutics. The presentation contributed to the dissemination and international visibility of the scientific expertise and research developed within eBio-hub.

Participation in AMSE-2026 also provided an important opportunity for international networking and scientific exchange. Discussions with researchers working in advanced materials, biomaterials, nanotechnology, and biomedical applications facilitated the exchange of expertise, the identification of complementary research interests, and the exploration of opportunities for future scientific collaborations.

Through its participation in AMSE-2026, eBio-hub continued to strengthen its international scientific presence and collaborative network, while promoting its research activities in advanced biomaterials and innovative technologies for biomedical applications.
