Showcasing eBio-hub Innovations at the Multidisciplinary Conference on Sustainable Development in Timișoara

eBio-hub team memer, Prof. Gratiela Gradisteanu, delivered an impactful presentation titled “Probiotic Intervention as a Tool for Pediatric Precision Medicine in Food Allergies and Obesity” at the Multidisciplinary Conference on Sustainable Development, held on 15–16 May 2025 in Timisoara, Romania. In her talk, Prof. Gradisteanu emphasized the growing potential of probiotic therapies as precision tools in managing pediatric food allergies and obesity—two conditions increasingly influenced by early-life gut microbiota imbalances. She explored how targeted microbial interventions, guided by molecular diagnostic technologies, can reshape the gut environment to support immune tolerance, metabolic balance, and long-term health outcomes in children. As a collaborator on the eBio-hub Project, which aims to develop integrative, omics-based platforms for personalized medicine, Prof. Gradisteanu also highlighted the role of molecular diagnostics in identifying microbial and host biomarkers. These tools are essential for patient stratification and tailoring probiotic treatments based on individual microbiome and immune profiles. Her presentation reflects the eBio-hub team’s commitment to advancing sustainable, personalized healthcare solutions through interdisciplinary research and innovation in molecular medicine and microbiome science.
