The second Public Policy Conference organized by the eBio-hub project took place within the framework of the MEDFEST 2026 event, held between June 4–6, 2026. The conference was coordinated by the Project Director and brought together distinguished guests from academia, research institutions, and the healthcare sector to discuss recent advances and emerging trends in bioengineering, biomedical research, and healthcare innovation.

The event featured a series of presentations delivered by invited experts, highlighting cutting-edge developments ranging from genomics and biomaterials to advanced imaging technologies and artificial intelligence. The conference provided a valuable platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, knowledge exchange, and the exploration of future research directions with potential societal and clinical impact.

Among the invited speakers, eBio-hub team member delivered a presentation focusing on the growing importance of microgels in regenerative medicine. The presentation addressed the unique properties of microgels, including their tunable architecture, injectability, and capacity to support cell growth and tissue regeneration. Particular emphasis was placed on the reasons why microgel-based systems have attracted significant attention in recent years as promising building blocks for advanced biofabrication strategies, tissue engineering, and next-generation therapeutic applications.

The conference further reinforced eBio-hub’s commitment to fostering collaboration between researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and industry stakeholders, while promoting innovative solutions that contribute to the advancement of personalized and regenerative medicine.
