eBio-hub Conference - Constanta, Mamaia Romania - 6th September 2024

The eBio-hub Conference was organised in the frame of eBio-hub: Chair of Research Centre in Biomedical Engineering (HORIZON EUROPE Grant agreement No. 101087007) during the 23rd Romanian International Conference on Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (RICCCE23), as part of the Bioengineering & Biomedical Technologies at Mamaia, Romania, on 6th September 2024.

The eBio-hub Conference represents one of the main channel in spreading excellence and increasing the visibility and impact of eBio-hub project. The event was attended by over 50 participants all over the world and represents the second international Conference organized by the team, In the framework of eBio-hub project.

The conference was charred by Project director who presented the project, its main goal and the expected impact on the host institution and Romania. The program included plenary lectures, keynote and posters covering a broad range of topics related to bioengineering field and biomedical application.

Among the international outstanding researchers  were:
- Mihaela C. Stefan from the University of Texas at Dallas and member of SAB of eBio-hub, she gave a plenary talk ”Amphiphilic Polycaprolactone Diblock Copolymers for Drug Delivery of Anticancer Drugs”
- Jose Javier Serrano OLMEDO from the Center for Biomedical Technology, Polytechnic University of Madrid, SPAIN, talked about ” The initial findings of the efficacy of novel magnetic and optical particle-mediated hyperthermia systems for glioblastoma multiforme and melanoma uveal”
- Radu Ionescu from Estonian University of Life Sciences, presented” Volatolomic studies in biomedical research”

At the same time, ERA Chair Holder and eBio-hub team members presented the latest research results of the project, having keynote presentations or standard oral presentations.
