Dr. Irina-Oana Lixandru-Petre, is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher in Bioinformatics at eBio-hub Research Centre, Politehnica University of Bucharest, Romania.
In 2022, Irina Petre received her Ph.D., where she analyzed the molecular pathogenesis of breast cancer using R -integrated microarray analysis and Netica -gene modeling.
She finished bachelor's degree, followed by a master's degree in ''Intelligent driving systems'', all at Dep. of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, Politehnica University of Bucharest.
She is interested in decision support systems, gene expression analysis and data mining.
For 8 years, she was a teaching assistant for the Diagnostic and Decision techniques laboratory, working with techniques and methods like Naive Bayes, Decision Trees and Bayesian networks.
