Alexandru-Ionel CONSTANTIN

Dr. Alexandru-Ionel Constantin is a scientific researcher CS III/Recognised Researcher (R2) at National Institute for Research and Development in Electrical Engineering ICPE-CA Bucharest and currently an Postdoctoral Researcher in Electrical Engineering at eBio-hub Research Centre, National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Romania. He is also an Assistant Professor (contract based) at the same university. He was head of his class in 2012 (i.e., GPA 9,85/10; ranked 1st across specialization and Faculty of Electrical Engineering). He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2024 from the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest. His scientific background and experience were acquired by participating in 11 national and international research projects, either as a member or team leader by partnerships with research institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGO) from Romania, Türkiye and EU. These collaborations lead to publication of more than 50 research papers (in conference proceedings and journals), and 2 national patent applications.

His research focuses are related to: IoT systems; embedded systems; edge computing; air quality and comfort; systems for monitoring and for fault detection in photovoltaics (PV) parks/farms or for electrical machines; digital twins for PV parks.
